Breathing exercises are vital for weight loss, relaxation and a sense of well being.
Many of us actually don’t breathe properly. How do you know that you are not breathing air up into your chest in the right way? Look at yourself in the mirror when you are inhaling. If your lungs hang all the way down toward the bottom of your rib cage, you are not filling them up with the precious air they need. So how to breathe properly? The answer is simple- breathing exercise. Read on to know more.
Lay down totally flat on your bed, sofa or floor. Relax for a couple of seconds before taking a deep breath. Now, breathe in deep through your nose. Push your belly up while inhaling. Stick your chin on your chest and look at how your belly rises when you take the air inside. When you have got as much as you can hold, stop and hold your breath. Try to hold your breath for ten to twenty seconds. Now, let it out. Exhale slowly.
Did you feel your lungs stretching out? Try the whole exercise for a couple of more times. You may feel it good and bad at the same time. This is because you are not used to this exercise. You may also find it very difficult to hold your breath for a long time. But, things will get easier each time you re-train yourself with this breathing exercise. At the end, you will feel the difference. You will feel relaxed and refreshed at the same time. The very tiny bit of deep breathing will make your body feel better.
The extra amount of oxygen that enters your body this way will move through your bloodstream, slightly increase the flow of blood and finally, you will get rid of the excess waste and fat in your body.
Keep practicing. Do this breathing exercise everyday, for at least five minutes. Learn how your body feels. “Feel” the process of taking in, holding and releasing all that extra oxygen, which will in turn foster the pace of chemical reactions going on in your body. As a result, you burn more calories than you take in which in turn will speed up your metabolism and make you burn more fat.
It was just a matter of few seconds that resulted in such a huge gain! Well, that’s a real good deal!
