Any popular belief is turned into truth, irrespective of the fact if it really is the truth or not. There are many myths in the fitness world, steer clear from them as they can effect your workout.
“Muscle will turn into fat if I stop exercising.”
Okay, get this right; Fat is made of fatty acids and glycerol, while muscles are made up of protein compounds. So obviously, one cannot “change” into another.
“Crunches will give be a toned body shape.”
This is a very strong myth, prevalent even among trainers. You can never burn fat from your midsection by doing crunches. In fact, by doing crunches, you may add an inch or so to your waistline rather than getting a lean body.
“If I skip breakfast, I’ll be thinner.”
Dieting or skipping breakfast will never make you thinner. If you don’t take breakfast, your body will be “alarmed” and start consuming lesser calories and as a result your metabolism will go down the drain!

It makes you feel uncomfortable, conscious, and embarrassed in public. It’s not something that a man would want to have but unfortunately a number of men are facing this problem. We are talking about a problem wherein, instead of a lean and solid chest, few men develop loose and hanging piece of fat around their chests, which looks like breasts. Here are some quick fixes for these problems recommended by medical experts.
Interval Training
Interval training involves 30 seconds to one minute of tough exercise, followed by two to three minutes of easy exercise. Interval training is a very common and highly effective way of burning fat.
Push Ups
Push ups is a superb way to build your upper chest area. This won’t entirely get rid of your man boobs, but yes, it will make them less noticeable.
Cardio Exercises
Cardio is an effective fat burning activity. Exercises like Running, Bike Riding, Rowing, and more are all good cardio workout examples that will assist you in burning the extra fat from your body and getting rid of your man boobs.
Elliptical Trainer machines
Elliptical trainer machines have proven to be very effective for men facing the problem of man’s boobs. These machines tend to workout both upper and lower body muscle groups simultaneously, so that you burn the extra fat as well as get rid of awkward boobs.

Cellulite is a kind of fat tissue located in the subcutaneous layer of human skin. The tissues are filled with fat that makes them ugly dumps and dimples of built up body fat. Cellulite is hard to get rid of.
Cellulite is formed when fats and liquids are trapped in human skin making the tissues thick and hard. These hardened and thickened tissues connect together to create a dimpling effect and become cellulite.
Excess fat, carbohydrates, salt, and alcohol are considered as the common causes of the formation of cellulite. Hormones including adrenaline, insulin, thyroid, and estrogen may exacerbate cellulite. Stress is another factor related to cellulite growth. Here we provide a couple of ways to get rid of cellulite.
Muscle stimulation: The process of muscle stimulation can be done through the application of gentle electrical currents. The low levels of electrical currents applied to your body flows through your body in order to contract your muscles artificially. This is similar to physical exercise. Special types of body massages are also done to stimulate the body muscles. In this process, the extra fats and fluid in your system is removed through the blood stream.
Liposuction: Liposuction is quiet popular. More and more medical practitioners are adopting this practice. Liposuction involves the removal of fat through suction, creating a trim dimple free body. This is one of the best ways to get rid of cellulite.
Spas: Spas don’t help to get rid of cellulite, but reduce the appearance of cellulite in the skin. This is done by body wrapping, in which plastic or rubber wraps are wound around the waist and abdomen or the entire body if needed. Special creams are used to make the body wraps.
Healthy diet: The right types of food will definitely help you get rid of the ugly cellulite. Foods rich in antioxidants like vegetables and fruits are highly recommended. These foods help detoxify the body and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin for healthy skin.
Exercise: Last but not the least- follow a good exercise regimen. Walking, sit ups, stretching are simple but effective exercises that help you remove cellulite and keep your body healthy.

Fat is actually good for your health, though you may be taught the opposite. As a matter of fact, you should know that there is a big difference between healthy fats and unhealthy fats. Here is the truth about fats. Read on.
Let us first talk about the healthy fats. Unsaturated fats are considered to be healthy fats. These are broadly classified into monounsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fats.
Monounsaturated fats are in their liquid state at room temperature and solidify when cooled in the refrigerator. These fats are healthier and are found in plant sources including nuts, peanuts, avocados, olive oil etc. Though they are the healthier fats, they should be taken in moderate quantity, as they are high in calories.
Polyunsaturated fats are either liquid or soft fluids at room temperature. They are found in plant oils including corn, canola oils, flaxseed, sunflower oil and safflower and in seafood. The Essential Fatty Acids (EFA) Omega-3, Omega-6 and Omega-9 found in the polyunsaturated fats make them healthier for consumption. EFAs are essential part of the structure of every cell in our bodies. They are required for a healthy heart. These healthy fats should also be consumed in moderate quantities as they are also high in calories.
Let us now talk about the real culprits of extra pounds- the unhealthy saturated fats. Found in animal food products such as milk, eggs, meat and butter, these saturated fats are generally solid at room temperature. They are also found in palm oil and coconut oil. Saturated fats are unhealthy, excess of which can raise the cholesterol levels in the blood stream.
Doctors also recommend that you should increase the amount of Omega-3 fatty acids in your diet and replace the unhealthy saturated fats with healthy monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats whenever possible.
