Migraines are hard to be cured fully, but can be brought under control to a reduced level with a little effort. Different types of drugs are available to prevent or treat migraines. Aspirin along with metoclopramide, may help in reducing migraine symptoms.

Reducing the consumption of red wine will help in reducing migraine.
As the initial treatment pain relievers can be used without a prescription. Acetaminophen and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as aspirin,

ibuprofen, or naproxen sodium, will reduce migraine symptoms. NSAID is prescribed by some doctors as initial treatment.

Initial treatment will depend on the severity of the migraine attacks. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as aspirin, triptans (serotonin receptor agonists) are some of the medicines used in initial treatment. Ergotamine derivatives, such as Cafergot, are not as effective as triptans for treating migraines. Midrin is a combination of isometheptene, acetaminophen, and dichloralphenazone and is most commonly used as preventive drugs to reduce the frequency of migraine attacks including beta-blockers, which relax blood vessels, and calcium channel blockers, which reduce the amount of narrowing (constriction) of the blood vessels.

It is necessary to identify migraine before taking drugs for that. Developing a treatment plan for ongoing migraines is a must as the first step which may finding the right drug for the type of migraine, identifying and avoiding migraine triggers, and avoiding rebound headaches that are caused by over usage of migraine drugs. By working together with the doctor, you can find a solution for this.

If the migraines continues after receiving treatment, then there may a need to change the abortive or preventive headache drugs or try a different type of migraine drug. It can be difficult to distinguish migraines from other types of headaches like sinus, tension, or cluster headaches, as symptoms are almost the same. Different types of headaches do need different treatment.

Anaemia is a health issue that affected an estimated 30% of the population around the world. It is associated with fatigue, headaches, palpitations, shortness of breath and even chest pain leading to heart attack. Anaemia can affect seriously during exertion as exercise requires more oxygen delivery to the muscles. If it becomes severe, symptoms may lead to difficulty in breathing, confusion or lethargy. If the anaemia is a result of sudden bleeding, it can even cause a sudden reduction in plasma, leading to low blood pressure with dizziness or even shock and death.

But in the case of mild anaemia, none of these symptoms or conditions is likely to be caused.  A “significant” or “mild” anaemia is somewhat arbitrary. According to health experts, hematocrit levels of 32 to 35 are unlikely to cause symptoms of anaemia. 

When the level of anaemia is moderate or severe, there symptoms not only related to anaemia, like fatigue, but also related to the disease causing the anaemia could be seen. Anaemia is common among those with chronic diseases associated with inflammation, and rheumatoid arthritis or Crohn’s disease associated with diarrhoea and crampy abdominal pain. If the anaemia is serious enough to cause symptoms, the priority should be given to the reduction or elimination of the symptoms.

Anaemia May Not Be Causing Symptoms

Most people with mild anaemia are unaware of it as there will be no symptoms. Fatigue is often considered as a result from anaemia, but yet doctors are taught that unless anaemia is “significant,” it does not cause any symptoms.

When anaemia is discovered, people often assume that it comes out with symptoms like fatigue. In fact, mild anaemia rarely causes fatigue

Once anaemia is found out, the next step must be the search for the cause, including vitamin or nutrient deficiency, blood loss, red cell destruction, and underlying inflammation.  The treatment must be depended on the severity of the anaemia and the underlying cause. There are chances of a doctor or patient making these assumptions to make an overlook of the true cause of the fatigue.
