Your kid fell and sprained his ankle? Or is it your girlfriend? Well if latter’s the case, treating her sprained ankle can help you leave a lasting impression. Leg twisting love story… eh!
So, here’s how you can do it:
First: Give complete rest to the injured ankle. In fact, it is better to stay off the leg as much as possible.
Second: Apply ice pack on the injury right away. Apply ice pack for 20 minutes every hour until the swelling subsides.
Third: Compress the injured area with an elastic bandage to reduce swelling and immobilize the ankle. Wrap from the foot toward the knee. Make sure that you don’t wrap it so tightly that cut off circulation.
Fourth: Raise the leg above your heart.
Fifth: Use moist heat once swelling in the area has dropped down.
Finally: Begin using the ankle again gradually as pain decreases.

A cup of green tea in the morning rejuvenates the body and soul. The three E’s- Enjoyment, Essential health benefits and Energy- make it one of the most popular brews. No wonder why it is a delight for the taste buds!
Enjoyment:
A soothing cup of green tea gives you sheer enjoyment. Green tea with honey best serves as a sweetener after a sumptuous meal. When served hot, it is the perfect brew and when served chilled, it will replace all your smoothies and frappes. Same degree of delicacy can be enjoyed both in summer and winter. The credit goes to its delicate taste.
Essential heath benefits:
A list of health benefits can be attached to green tea. The beverage is full of antioxidants (catechin polyphenols) that produce free radicals which in turn help increase body’s metabolic processes. The anti-oxidant is also known to inhibit the growth of cancer cells. Moreover, catechin polyphenols reduces the LDL cholesterol and prevents the formation of blood clots. Green tea is also found to reduce heart attacks and strokes. Green tea also acts as a medicine for minor cuts, rashes and sunburns. You can also avoid tooth decay by making it a habit of sipping a cup of hot green tea every morning.
Energy:
Kick-start your day with a cup of green tea. It can make wonders if taken in smaller doses. Green tea also reduces anxiousness by relaxing the mind. Drink green tea during office tea breaks.

The treatment of clinical depression is highly subjective to the patient, based on the patient’s unique combination of biological, psychological and social health factors and the severity of their condition. The three most conventional treatments for depression include medication, psychotherapy, and Electroconvulsive therapy, however new treatments and less conventional options are also available, including self help and life style changes.
Depression is actually both a symptom and a cause for further medical complications. Those who are suffering from it are sometimes even oblivious of the fact. The video puts some light on this medical condition.

The easiest way to prevent a hangover is not to drink at all!! Well, now that alcohol has become an inevitable part of your good time, follow some scientifically proven methods to get rid of a hangover. Here are they.
You should apply the hangover technique right from the beginning that is before you start drinking. You should not keep your stomach because an empty stomach will absorb more alcohol. So, eat your regular meals full of carbohydrates and a considerable amount of fat. Since the fatty foods and food with high carbohydrate content will take longer to digest, the effect of the food will last longer and as a result, the stomach irritation due to alcohol consumption is reduced.
Another important thing is to avoid dehydration. The effects of alcohol can lead to vitamin and mineral loss from your body. Therefore, take multivitamin food so that you stay hydrated.
People use to gulp the liquor as if they are competing to be the first to finish a bottle! This in fact, spoils your health. We suggest you to drink very slowly, no more than one drink an hour in order to give your body enough time to process the liquor. A neat peg is not preferable, mix water or a sports drink with your drink. This will keep you hydrated as well as give your body enough time to process the toxins.
What you drink is also very decisive. Avoid mixing drinks as you will feel worse the next day.
When you go back home, take two aspirins with a beer glass of water. This will help you hydrate and decrease the severity of hangover in morning.
This way, when you wake up next morning, you will not even feel that you had a “blasting” bachelor party the last night!
