Back is an important organ that bears the entire body weight.
Backache is a rather common condition and often seems to be the only disturbing symptom in people otherwise in reasonably good health. It is second only to the common cold as the most common cause of work absenteeism.
MAIN CAUSES OF BACKACHE
1. Most backache patients suffer from cervical or lumbar spondylosis, which is a degenerative disorder in which the vertebral bone or the intervertebral disc becomes soft and loses shape. As a result of this, the spine loses its flexibility.
2. Inactive living habits and hazardous work patterns
3. Muscular tension, joint strain, poor posture, incorrect nutrition and lack of exercise
4. Emotional stress, which brings about spasm of the muscle
5. Arthritis
6. Obesity could lead to strain on the back and result in back pain
HOMEOPATHY TREATMENT
Homeopathy treats the problem holistically by reducing the frequency and intensity of pain, improving back flexibility, reducing dependency on painkillers and increasing work productivity.Stretcing or lifting of heavy weights should be avoided. A firm mattress used for sleeping may be helpful.
Many homeopathic physicians suggest that remedies be used as follows: Take one dose and wait for a response. If improvement is seen, continue to wait and let the remedy work. If improvement lags significantly or has clearly stopped, another dose may be taken. The frequency of dosage varies with the condition and the individual. Sometimes a dose may be required several times an hour; other times a dose may be indicated several times a day; and in some situations, one dose per day (or less) can be sufficient. If no response is seen within a reasonable amount of time, select a different remedy.
HOME REMEDIES
• Proper rest is very important for backache cure. Rest flat on your back for at least 2-4 hours
• Do not bend your back or shoulders while picking up something from the ground. Bend your knee and then pick it up.
• Garlic oil massaged on the back will give great relief.
• Massage your back with mint oil gently
• One of the most effective remedy treating backache is doing Yoga and Pranayama.
• Juice of one lemon mixed with common salt should be given to the patient twice daily
• Apply a heating pad where the back hurts
• For lower back pain: eat nuts daily
• Application of raw potato in the form of poultice also reduces backache
The above listed remedies are easy to follow. But before following any of these consult your general physician.

Persons suffering from anorexia may refuse to eat and suffer from insomnia. In course of time, emaciation becomes severe.
People with anorexia often deny having a problem; the truth is that anorexia is a serious and potentially deadly eating disorder. More importantly, it is also a psychological disorder. Anorexia is a condition that goes beyond out-of-control dieting. Fortunately, recovery is possible. With proper treatment and support, you or someone you care about can break anorexia’s self-destructive pattern and regain your health and happiness.
The key features of anorexia are:
• Refusal to sustain a minimally normal body weight
• Intense fear of gaining weight, despite being underweight
• Distorted view of one’s body or weight, or denial of the dangers of one’s low weight
Major risk factors for anorexia
• Body dissatisfaction
• Dieting
• Low self-esteem
• Perfectionism
• Childhood sexual abuse
• Family history of eating disorders
Symptoms
• Weight loss (achieved via restricting food or purging it): A person with anorexia will lose weight because, by definition, she refuses to maintain or achieve a body weight of 85% of the expected weight for her age and height.
• Interruption of the menstrual cycle.
• Bone loss (osteoporosis)
• Extra sensitivity to cold
• Bloated stomach after eating (since the stomach loses its ability to deal with a normal quantity of food at one sitting)
• Fine hair growth on the skin in response to the body’s need for warmth
• Yellowed skin
• Thinning hair
• Dizziness or fainting
• Brittle nails
• Constipation
• Dry skin
• Low blood pressure
• Dehydration
FEW HOME REMEDIES
o Eating about 2-3 fresh oranges daily increases appetite
o Garlic is considered the wonder drug that increases appetite
o Eating raw tomatoes is also effective
o Consume at least one apple on a daily basis.
o Take 1 cup water and boil 2-3 cloves in it. Strain and then add on the juice of ½ a lime to this and drink 2 times a day, for a week.
o Warm water enema and application of ice bags on the stomach.
You should always avoid taking excess of alcohol and refrain from smoking, as these are the agents that increase your chances of suffering from anorexia.
So to do away with this disorder, you should follow a good diet chart that includes every nutritious food and avoid taking unnecessary stress and tension. For, proper cleansing of your digestive tract is the only solution to free yourself from anorexia. Regular exercising also helps a great deal in curing anorexia.

For some people, it simply means infrequent stools, while on the other hand for others, it means hard stools. The cause of each of these “types” of constipation probably is different.

The ears, nose and throat are closely connected, which is why they are often dealt with by the same medical expert. The science of dealing with problems of the ear, nose and throat is called otolaryngology; the practitioner is an otolaryngologist.
There are many different types of ear problems. For example, ear pain may be caused by infections of the tonsils, jaw or sinuses. Chronic infection, for example, glue ear, can cause hearing loss that can affect learning and lifestyle, and exposure to loud noise can also damage hearing.. Middle ear infection is also known as otitis media or glue ear.
What are the symptoms of middle ear infection?
The main symptom is an earache. It can be mild, or it can hurt a lot. Babies and young children may be fussy. They may have trouble sleeping and also have fever.
You may see thick, yellow fluid coming from their ears. This happens when the eardrum bursts and the fluid flows out. This is not serious and usually makes the pain go away. The eardrum usually heals on its own. They may have trouble hearing, but their hearing usually returns to normal after the fluid is gone. It may take weeks for the fluid to drain away.
Causes of ear infections
Outer ear infections can spread from general skin infections, or might just happen on your ear. They can be caused by:
• Viruses like herpes,
• Bacteria or
• Fungi, which causes thrush.
Inner ear infections are often caused by:
• Common cold, which spreads through the tube that connects your ears and nose
• Common childhood illnesses such as measles, or
• By getting water in your ear when you have a burst eardrum.
Natural Remedies for Ear Aches
Before antibiotics, parents used home remedies to treat the pain of ear infections.
• Drops of tea tree oil may be beneficial. This herbal treatment has mild anti-bacterial properties, but it may irritate the skin.
• Studies have reported that Otikon, an extract made of various plants, including garlic is an effective anesthetic in treating the pain associated with ear infections. Plants contained in Otikon may have side effects.
• Due to the high risk of burns, ear candles should not be used to remove wax from ears. There is no evidence to indicate that these candles are safe or effective for treatment.
• High fever, severe pain, or other signs of complications should warrant immediate attention by a medical professional.
• Using, ear dropper put 2-3 drops of basil(tulsi leaves) in the infected ear
• Onion juice also relieves ear infections and pain.
• Jetun(olive)oil few drops of olive oil can clear the obstruction in the Eustachian tube and the earwax can easily be moved out of the ear.
Most of the ear infections and aches can be prevented by keeping ears clean using ear buds and keeping the ears dry using soft cotton fabrics. However before following any of the above remedies the otolaryngologist should be consulted to avoid further infections.

Cancer of testicles is the most common cancer among young men aged between 15 and 35. However, it can affect any age group.
What is Testicular cancer?
“Testicular cancer, also known as cancer of the testes, occurs when germ cells (the cells that become sperm) experience abnormal growth. Germ cells, like stem cells, have the potential to form any cell in the body. Normally this ability is dormant until the sperm fertilizes an egg. When germ cells become cancerous, they multiply unchecked; forming a mass of cells called a tumor, and invades normal tissue.”
Symptoms of Testicular cancer:
In initial stages, Testicular cancer remains confined to the testes. This causes pain or swelling in the testicles. Lumps or nodules will be formed in the testicles which may or may not be painful. There may be enlargement of the testicles. Pain in the lower abdomen is also a common symptom of testicular cancer.
The final stage of this cancer is horrible- it spreads throughout the body, to lungs, bones, liver and ultimately to the brain. If left untreated, this can lead to death.
Treatment for Testicular cancer:
You may be able to spot that you are suffering from this deadly disease. Conduct examination of your testicles once a month which is highly recommended by the doctors. Diagnose it immediately if you find hard lumps within the testicles or changes in the very feel of the testicles.

Here is a shocking truth- according to Arthritis and Rheumatism Research Council 105 million people lose working days every year. The reason is severe low back pain, which hinders the working hours of many the sufferers. Let us find out the causes of this ailment.
• Lower back pain can be caused by many different problems including forceful movement and trauma. Aging is also one of the factors leading to low back pains.
• Fractures can also cause the pain. If you are suffering from Osteoporosis, there are fair chances for low back pain as well.
• The back muscles need to be conditioned. Poor conditioning of these muscles triggers low back pain.
• Protruding disk also causes pain in the lower back.
• Pain occurring as a result of a problem elsewhere but ultimately felt in the back can also cause pain in the lower back.
• Obesity is a worse condition. This becomes even worse because this can be one of root causes for low back pain.
• Your poor posture also leads to low back pain.
• Bad cigs! You try your level best, but you can’t relate smoking to positive health conditions. Low back pain adds to the list of ailments caused by smoking.
