Its time to lose some weight!

Its time to lose some weight!

If you are seeing those extra pounds on your body already, its time to re-set your body clock and lose some weight. Today one of the biggest hazards of erratic life style that men live is excessive amount of weight that they tend to gain. Actually the process of adding on weight is such that you don’t usually realize you

are putting on fats every day until one find day someone just tells how bloated you seem. The mirror starts speaking the truth then and so do your clothes. So in order to save your body from further embarrassment, it is time to take care of certain things to make sure you are back in shape.

Diet Control:

Well, if you are foodie, this might come across one of the toughest things for you to do. However, there is no other way to do it than controlling your diet, nevertheless. Most often men tend to stuff their stomachs with too much food, during their meal hours. They think it’ll help them last longer. This however is a wrong notion. Having too much food in a single meal makes a person become lethargic and restricts his movement a great deal. So if you religiously want to lose weight, the best way is to intake only that much amount of food which your body needs at that hour. Start skipping junk food at any cost. They only add fat to your body. If you think, you feel hungry too often than normal, break your meal chart into having five small meals rather than having 2 or 3 overflowing platters a day.

Exercise!

There is no escaping from it. If you have an habit of eating continuously and expect to lose weight as well, there is no way other than increasing your daily activities. This is the most natural and the best way to keep a check on your weight. The biggest drawback weight brings with it is lack of energy. Despite the fact we want to do so much in a single day, our bodies give up too much too soon. So while this might seem a tough thing to develop, you should start getting up early in the morning and jog a few miles without fail.

This will air your body, freshen it up and bring to it all the energy required for the days work and more. If you are not too keen on walking or jogging, you can even go on a cycling spree. Hitting the gym can also serve as a good resort.

And lastly do not forget to get good sleep. Human body needs at least 8 hours of sleep to burn all the calories so make sure you fit this also in your health regime!

So get on with our health regime before the term ‘obese’ starts getting associating with you. Here’s wishing you the best of health!

Calories Needed to Lose Weight

Calories Needed to Lose Weight

The calories needed to lose weight can vary dramatically depending on how much weight you need to lose. Losing weight is all about energy expenditure coupled with the amount of calories consumed, so if you increase activity as well as make smarter food choices, you can actually get away with eating more.
The Basics of Energy Balance
When trying to lose weight, you need to eat fewer calories than your body is using through daily activity and metabolic function. Some people find success dieting just by cutting calories, but other people find that both cutting calories and increasing physical activity make it easier to lose weight quickly.

When it comes to figuring out calories needed to lose weight, you have to factor in your current calorie and energy levels, how much weight you want to lose, how quickly and how much more energy you might expend through working out.

All of this presents a rather delicate balance that can make it difficult to determine exactly how much you need to cut calories. While some people do quite well on a 1,200 calorie diet others who work out more may need something like a 1,600 diet to have enough energy to get through the day.

Finding Your Calories Needed to Lose Weight
While it might be a little tricky to determine personal calories needed to lose weight on your own, there are many online resources that can help. Here are a few to get you started:

Calorie Count has an easy-to-use calorie counter that factors in your age, height, current weight, goal weight and activity level to determine how many calories you can consume daily. You can also either enter a date by which you would like to lose the weight or allow the calculator to project when you will have lost the weight if you follow the plan.

The Calorie Control Council has a calculator that tells you how many calories you need to maintain your current weight. If you’d like to lose weight, know that a pound of fat is about 3,500 calories, so you need to consume 3,500 fewer calories or expend 3,500 more calories to lose a pound a week.

Anne Collins has a quick estimate to determine your caloric needs. Women should multiply their weight in pounds by 12, men by 14. That’s how many calories you need to maintain weight. To lose weight, drop 500 calories a day from that to lose one pound a week.

Slow and Steady
You’ll note that most of these calculators suggest losing about a pound of weight a week. While it is certainly possible to lose more weight in a week if you really worked at it, this is a healthy pace and easy for most people to accomplish either through eating less or moving more.

If you think about this last statistic, that cutting 500 calories a day can help you lose a pound a week, you can see that it doesn’t have to be difficult to lose weight, especially if you are working out more in addition to eating less.

If you burned just 300 more calories a day exercising you’ll only need to cut about 250 calories from your daily diet in order to lose a pound a week. If you combine cutting calories and exercising more, you could lose two pounds a week instead of just one and meet your weight loss goals even faster.

The main trouble with calorie counting as a means to lose weight is that we tend to underestimate how much we are eating or we may not know the calorie counts of food we eat out. Keeping a food diary can help track exactly what you’re eating, or you can just replace high-calorie foods with more fruit and vegetables and you’ll be well on your way to losing weight.
