Comments What if you have low blood pressure?
If hypertension is bad, then hypotension is worst for your health. Low blood pressure (hypotension) is pressure that is so low that it causes symptoms or signs due to the low flow of blood through the arteries and veins. When the flow of blood is too low to deliver enough oxygen and nutrients to vital organs such as the brain, heart, and kidney, the organs do not function normally and may be permanently damaged. Things may get worst if you do not consult a doctor and follow a diet that will give enough energy to deliver sufficient oxygen and nutrients to your vital organs.
Low blood pressure is silent
You may not get a clue why your stamina is falling, you feel sleepy, confused, often faint. This is because you are having low blood pressure.
If you have signs or symptoms of low blood pressure, you may need treatment. Treatment depends on the cause of your low blood pressure. You may be given blood through a needle, medicines to increase blood pressure and improve heart strength, and other medicines, such as antibiotics.
If you are in good health and have no symptoms related to your low blood pressure, don’t worry about it. It’s a good thing that will minimize your risk of the common forms of cardiovascular disease that affect so many people as they age.
