Valentines being round the corner is a time for fun and frolic for most of you. You might tend to over eat and forget about your upset stomach. An upset stomach can really be frustrating and disturbing. None of you must be wanting to sit back at home after all the fun and enjoyment you had on Valentines Day.
This disorder can happen to anyone ranging from a child to an adult at any point in life. It’s not a difficult task to get rid of an upset stomach you just need to take care of the food items you eat and your diet.
Foods to eat to calm your upset stomach:
• Yogurt
• Skinned baked or broiled chicken
• Soft fruits and vegetables
• Mint and ginger are both known to have a soothing effect on an upset stomach.
• Oatmeal
• Drinking enough liquids, especially water, will keep you hydrated. Dehydration can lead to an upset stomach
Avoid foods that are greasy, fried, or fatty, foods that are extremely spicy or sweet, and foods with strong smells.
Home remedies for an upset stomach:
• When you have an upset stomach, avoid drinking milk because you may have difficulties in digesting it.
• Stress can cause gastrointestinal ailments such as indigestion, constipation, and diarrhea. You can get rid of stress by meditating, exercising, or taking up a hobby.
• Take time to enjoy your meal and allow your food to digest properly.
• Never skip meals.
• Charcoal is another great way to cure an upset stomach. Just mix some activated charcoal with hot water and drink.
• Hot lemon tea, made with the juice of half a lemon and sweetened with honey is quiet effective in case of an upset stomach.
• Eat food that is easy to digest.
• Swallowing five black pepper peas and then drinking a glass of water is also an effective way to get rid of an upset stomach.
• Eat a banana. Bananas soothe the stomach and are easily digest able.
• Drink peppermint tea. The peppermint is supposed to calm the stomach muscles.
• Amla seed powder mixed with buttermilk if taken for 1-2 days cures an upset stomach.
To keep yourself healthy and fit don’t eat everything and anything that comes your way. Follow a balanced diet.
