The easiest way to prevent a hangover is not to drink at all!! Well, now that alcohol has become an inevitable part of your good time, follow some scientifically proven methods to get rid of a hangover. Here are they.
You should apply the hangover technique right from the beginning that is before you start drinking. You should not keep your stomach because an empty stomach will absorb more alcohol. So, eat your regular meals full of carbohydrates and a considerable amount of fat. Since the fatty foods and food with high carbohydrate content will take longer to digest, the effect of the food will last longer and as a result, the stomach irritation due to alcohol consumption is reduced.
Another important thing is to avoid dehydration. The effects of alcohol can lead to vitamin and mineral loss from your body. Therefore, take multivitamin food so that you stay hydrated.
People use to gulp the liquor as if they are competing to be the first to finish a bottle! This in fact, spoils your health. We suggest you to drink very slowly, no more than one drink an hour in order to give your body enough time to process the liquor. A neat peg is not preferable, mix water or a sports drink with your drink. This will keep you hydrated as well as give your body enough time to process the toxins.
What you drink is also very decisive. Avoid mixing drinks as you will feel worse the next day.
When you go back home, take two aspirins with a beer glass of water. This will help you hydrate and decrease the severity of hangover in morning.
This way, when you wake up next morning, you will not even feel that you had a “blasting” bachelor party the last night!

Remember the first cigarette which you tried in your teenage? Well, the first cig has made you hooked up to it. The reason why you tried smoking may be many- it may be because of stress, or just for the sake of tasting it- it is your brain’s response to the very first dose of nicotine which has got you addicted to it. Want strong evidence? Read on.
DiFranza’s report published in Pediatrics, an American journal, found that the first cigarette was the strongest predictor of addiction.
The study was conducted over four years, between 2002 and 2006. Eleven interviews were conducted with each of 1,000 teenagers attending public schools in six Massachusetts communities. Of the 217 who tried smoking during the study, nearly one-third reported feeling relaxed after inhaling for the first time, and two-thirds of them became addicted to smoking.
The study said one theory suggests nicotine suppresses pathways in the brain that generate the feeling of craving, which is experienced as relaxation. That in turn creates a craving for nicotine when the drug is absent.

Now that you have spent a hell lot of time in your life smoking, it is high time you quit the addiction before it gets too late. If you hesitate to join anti-smoking programs, here is an alternative solution for this. Get rid of smoking by following these simple steps.
Get ready:
When you are finally ready to bump your cigs, set a quit date. Steer clear all the ashtrays in your home and office. Don’t let people smoke in your home. This way, create an anti-smoking atmosphere.
Support:
Tell your family, friends and colleagues that you are going to quit smoking and want their moral support.
Counseling:
The more sessions of counsel you have, the easier it will be to quit smoking. Go for telephonic counseling.
Change the routine:
Choose a different route to work. Distract yourself from urges to smoke. Stay away from smoking zones. Beat the stress by reading books, music or any other favorite pastimes.
Diet:
Avoid alcohol. Drink tea instead of coffee. Drink lots of fluids like water and fruit juices.
Medication:
Get medication and use it correctly.
