Add Color to Your Life for natural Healthy Living

Color Therapy, also technically known as Chromotherapy or Colorology is the traditional alternative system of medicine, dating back to some thousands of years, which adopts a holistic approach in the method of treatment. Though traditional, Color Therapy is based on a strong scientific beliefs. Color is a natural and the purest form of energy that puts remarkable impact on the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health of the patient both in the conscious and sub conscious levels.
Unlike other streams of medicines, Color Therapy stresses on the application of colors and light of various intensities on the patients body to treat physical, emotional, mental and spiritual illness of the individual. No proper history of its invention is known to the mankind, yet several evidences of Color Therapy have been witnessed in Ayurveda, the famous ancient system of medicine practiced in India. However, Chinese and old Egyptians have produced some evidences of the use of colors and lights in their practices of medicine.

All the seven colors red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet found in the sun light are each associated with a certain wavelength and hence carry certain amount of energy with them. All these colors have impacts on different parts of the body that symbolize a certain energy level, known as Chakra, of a living organism. These energy points in the body (Chakra) are responsible for the physical, psychological and spiritual wellness of the individual. Color Therapy attempts to target these energy points in the body and tries to bring in a perfect balance of energy, expelling out negative energies from the system.

Very common use of Chromotherapy can be observed in the treatment of various skin disorders, eye problems etc. Color Therapy is practiced systematically in the form of Color Breathing, directing colored light on to the body, Meditation with colors, placing color silks on the body and use of Solarized Water. However, very highly organized application of colors and lights can be found in the form of Laser Treatment in Oncology.

Chromotherapists claim a very strong scientific evidence for the use of colors to treat diseases and illness. They recommend the use of color bath treatments, candles, colored fabrics, colored glasses or lenses, gemstones, prisms and Solarised water and oil for various health issues. Several researches are going on worldwide to find out more improved and innovative applications of colors to treat diseases and disorders not only of man kind, but of animals and even plant species also.

Color has a natural tendency to attract living beings and this energy associated is responsible for our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness. So adopt Color Therapy, the most natural and priceless way to stay healthy and add some color to your life.
