Abdominal pain

Abdominal pain has become very common these days. The percentage of people suffering from this has increased because of lifestyle changes and their eating habits. Abdomen is the part of your body which extends from below your chest to your groin. Abdominal pain is pain that you feel anywhere between your chest and groin. This is synonyms to the stomach region or belly. This pain might range in intensity from a mild stomach ache to a severe pain.
The term abdominal pain generally is
used to describe pain originating from organs within the abdominal cavity. These organs include the stomach, small intestine, colon, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas.
Some common causes of abdominal pain:
• Hunger
• Overeating
• Fatigue
• Over-exertion
• Gastroenteritis
• Food poisoning
• Appendicitis
• Peptic ulcer
• Food poisoning
• Gallstones
• Intestinal obstruction
• Hernia
• Constipation
Remedies:
There are various herbal and natural remedies that help prevent and treat abdominal pain depending on the cause of the pain.
It is advisable to add fiber rich foods in your diet and drink lots of water to prevent such pains.
• Peppermint oil is one of the best cures for abdominal pain.
• Take 1 tsp of mint juice and add it to a cup of water. Drink this mixture to get instant relief from abdominal pain.
• Drink hot water with lemon and peppermint.
• Triphala dietary supplements are very effective in treating abdominal pain
• Ginger is a well known remedy for indigestion, dyspepsia, gastrointestinal problems and irritable bowel syndrome.
• Soak 1 teaspoon of grained cardamom seeds in a cup of water, wait 10 minutes, drink 3 times a day preferred before eating.
• Boil 1 tsp of carom seeds in a cup of water for 5 minutes. Strain the liquid and add a pinch of salt to it. This will give you instant relief from abdominal pain.
• Herbal teas help relieve abdominal pain
• Chewing 1/2 teaspoon of celery seeds with a pinch of salt and then consuming warm water over it also helps you get rid of abdominal pain.
• Always eat light food while you suffering from an abdominal pain and eat only easily digested food
If your pain in. the abdomen lasts for more than six hours or is getting worse you should consult the doctor immediately. Don’t take your abdominal pain lightly because it may lead to serious health problems.
